Digital Marketing Specialist

What You’ll Do:

  • As head of Marketing/Growth, you will be responsible for creating and managing all cross-functional marketing, growth and user acquisition strategy and execution for Datebox.  You understand our brand, mission, and story and can leverage that into compelling ways to reach our target customers.  You will be empowered to lead all:
  • Influencer Marketing - develop relationships directly with target influencers, bloggers, content creators and their agents.  Create and manage all influencer campaigns to establish user acquisition or brand storytelling channels.
  • Paid Social - Execute paid ad/user acquisition campaigns & optimization across a variety of digital platforms using native and third-party tools.
  • Event Marketing - direct, coordinate, and manage face-to-face event marketing opportunities.  Develop and explore end-to-end solutions for meeting our target customers.
  • Public Relations - Work with PR team to develop press releases, campaign for publication and media coverage, as well as push the public visibility around product releases, events, partnerships, and business initiatives.
  • Content Strategy - work with content producers to develop cross-platform distribution & integration strategies for long-form, short-form, video, and audio content.
  • Strategic Planning - work with high-level FP&A personnel to ensure that key marketing metrics and budgets are hit.  You will be responsible for reporting weekly the progress of our marketing and growth activities.  The ability to model, report, and provide visuals that correspond with your success are vital to this position.

 

Who you are & what you have:

Experience - 3+ years digital marketing and/or brand storytelling experience

Track Record - You have successfully marketed other products, preferably in the consumer goods/e-commerce vertical.  You have a demonstrated track record of execution using digital social ad platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Youtube etc.  

Relentless - you are consistently pushing for better and more effective results.  You don’t ever believe that you’ve arrived and you are somebody who never gives up.  You are constantly optimizing, refining, and learning at scale.  Nobody in the office works harder than you or has more drive to succeed.  You understand how to catch the attention of consumers, and the mediums where potential customers are listening.  Efficiency, organization, and self-drive are some of your most important qualities as a team member.

Analytical - you are constantly self-evaluating performance and ROI.  You are great at working with high-level finance personnel to ensure that you are hitting key marketing metrics and staying within budget.  You are always aware of your progress and how it relates to the goals and strategies set forth by your team.  

Communication Skills - you are a born leader and you can inspire others by your actions and results.  You have great written and verbal communication skills so that you can communicate the message and story of Datebox, and you can communicate campaign performance, insight collection, and takeaways to the rest of the team.  

Awareness - you may not always know the answer, but you do whatever it takes to find it, and your desire to learn never runs out.  Whether it be marketing channels, optimization of ads, finding new influencers to work with, or implementing content strategy, you are always testing, trying and finding new paths to success.  Whether it be new social channels, SEO, traditional marketing, or potential influencer partnerships, you are constantly researching and finding new marketing channels where the attention of our target consumer is under-priced and can be leveraged for success.

Organized - you have a proven track record of managing multiple projects at once. You are detail oriented and you thrive in a fast pace, rigorous, high-energy work environment. 

Bonus Points:

  • B.A. in Marketing or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Supplementary design skills preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign)
  • Advanced skills in Excel
